The Queue Residences
Winner of the 2017 SFBJ Structures Awards for Best Market-Rate Residential Project. The Queue was designed in the spirit of a boutique hotel and executed as a unique residential living experience targeted at a millennial market who often seek out the boutique hotel as a new lifestyle choice. Typical of hotels, the exterior encourages a high-style backyard environment around the pool. The entry features vintage railroad ties suspended 15’ overhead with a dramatic “check-in desk”. Gathering spaces for social interaction were created to encourage a distinctly residential parlor. For this project, the designers created the catchphrase boutique residential.
