The whole pop-up bar or restaurant idea has it’s roots in L.A. where it spread like wild fire and has now made its way over to the east coast and specifically Miami. A friend of ours here at BTD is managing a new popup in South Beach and we thought we’d share some photos of the place and suggest anyone in the area to POP in and have a visit and a cocktail.
Designing a nightclub and designing a bar with a temporary lifespan are completely different. The objective, longevity, cost, everything. That’s what makes popups such interesting ideas from a bar design aspect. You have limited resources, materials, possibilities to work with to achieve what is a 3-month, 6-month or 2-week popup success. IE, more than just a steady flow of bodies through the door, but a migration of the masses. It’s an impressive feat. Ok, back to Radio Pop Up Bar.
Check it out, here are some photos, and be sure to play a game of pool.
