As a Miami based Design firm, we are immersed in our City’s rich and unique heritage and culture. To say Miami is merely a melting pot is to say the Star Spangled Banner was just another song. In some ways Miami is the Latin American epicenter of the USA. To have the opportunity to blend these cultural roots in a design that is so steeped in Cultures while not treading on Miami’s own culinary soil was both a challenge and a dream. CVLTVRA is bold in color, texture and the subtleties of combining all of “The America’s” in a cohesive yet somewhat frenzied design. The energy in the space is brought with local Artists and craftsman. From Argentina to Brazil and not a stop missed along the way, every inch of the space was crafted as meticulously as the food on the plates. Custom emblazoned hex tile under foot upon arrival, the Cypress framed street market structure overhead and the 75″ commissioned Steer Heads are just a few of the touch points that creates an authentic yet unique and one of a kind experience. The scale of the space was soaring. At 22′ it allowed us the luxury of taking normally perceived human scale objects and making them grand and using color and texture their over scale sensibility is what ultimately made those elements feel as though they were perfect. To bring the heat in from outdoors and out from the kitchen we designed a 30′ NANA Wall that helps open up the space and provide a seamless transition of garden and terrace, it is what you would expect while exploring a culinary tour in an urban Latin American outpost.
